Andrew initially studied archaeology and then commenced his legal training after completing his PhD.  He began his legal career as a solicitor at Pannone and Partners in Manchester.

Andrew was called to the Bar in 1996 and has been at 18 St John Street since.  He undertakes family cases involving children, in particular public law cases, and acts on behalf of Local Authorities and children as well as parents and interveners.  He has considerable experience in all areas of care work including non-accidental injury and sexual abuse cases.

Andrew also has experience of coroners inquests and professional misconduct and disciplinary tribunals.
