In Personal Injury Karen is instructed in high value, complex cases, often involving fatalities, traumatic brain injury or catastrophic injuries. Recent cases include breach of statutory duty claims, fatal accidents, road traffic accidents, occupiers’ liability claims, injuries to reproductive organs, chronic pain, and psychological trauma. She is a member of the Personal Injury Bar Association.
In Clinical Negligence, Karen receives instructions on cases involving a wide range of negligent care both in primary care settings and hospitals, including cancer diagnosis and care, obstetrics and gynaecology, elective surgery, ophthalmology, and orthopaedics. Karen also has experience in cases involving geriatric care including development of pressure ulcers, developing in acute circumstances or over prolonged periods i.e. in care settings.
Karen regularly acts in inquests, for interested parties, including family, private companies, and publicly funded bodies. She is often then instructed in any subsequent claim.
