Karen Boyle specialises in general civil work including Personal Injury, Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Clinical Negligence, LVI Claims/Fraud, Costs Litigation, CICA claims, Inquests and Employment law.

Karen’s Personal Injury practice includes breach of statutory duty claims, fatal accident claims, road traffic accidents, holiday litigation, and occupiers’ liability claims. Her multi-track practice involves fraud matters, serious whiplash cases, occupiers’ liability, damage to teeth/facial disfigurement, injuries to reproductive organs and psychological trauma. Karen also undertakes cases on harassment as an employment issue and as a civil remedy. She is a member of the Personal Injury Bar Association.

Karen’s employment practice includes cases of dismissal, redundancy and employment equality, discrimination and equal pay. She represents both Claimants and Respondents in Tribunal on and off circuit. She is a member of the Employent Lawyers Association.

Karen regularly represents water and sewerage undertakers/utility companies in respect of their obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991.

Her costs only litigation involves detailed assessments of costs representing both Claimants and Defendants on issues relating to CFAs and ATE insurance premiums. She has extensive experience in summary assessment.

Her inquest work has dealt with death in the pursuit of hobbies, aeroplane accidents, negligent medical care, accidents in public places and accidents where a public body in an interested party. She has represented both families and public bodies including the police.

Karen enjoys active sport (running, boxing and astanga yoga), cooking and socialising with friends.
