Andrew Rauer accepted a tenancy at 18 St John Street Chambers upon successful completion of his pupillage in 2023.

Andrew joined as a pupil in September 2022, under the supervision of Oliver Caplan in Chambers’ Business & Property team.

Since joining, Andrew has been involved in a wide variety of cases across the Commercial/Chancery spectrum, including those concerning contracts, debt claims, disclaimed land, partnership disputes, professional negligence, possession claims, claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996, and wills. Andrew has been engaged in all aspects of litigation, both on paper and in court, as well as methods of Negotiated Dispute Resolution such as mediation.

Andrew did his Masters in Corporate Law, with a focus on company law, corporate governance and corporate insolvency. He has a particular interest in land law and trusts.

Outside of Chambers, Andrew enjoys amateur dramatics, travelling, and playing board games.
