Contractual Terms


From 31st January 2013 amendments to the Code of Conduct of the Bar Council of England and Wales come into effect.

With the approval of the Legal Services Board and the Bar Standards Board (BSB), the regulatory body for barristers in England and Wales, new Standard Contractual Terms will replace the existing Terms of Work on which Barristers offer their Services and the Withdrawal of Credit Scheme (for new instructions received after 31st January 2013).

Unless expressly notified in writing, the members of 18 St John Street Chambers will only, where relevant, accept instructions under the terms of the Bar Council Standard Contractual Terms (see below).
