The Civil and Personal Injury department has fourteen full-time members whose practices focus primarily on personal injury and clinical negligence work. Individual barristers also have expertise in professional negligence, employment law, housing, inquests and costs.
Our barristers cover all levels of work, from small claims to the most complex matters, including catastrophic injury claims and other high-value litigation. We provide a ‘strength in depth’ [Legal 500, 2019], with outstanding advice and advocacy at all levels of seniority.
Members of the department are individually described as being ‘highly meticulous’, ‘tenacious and skilful’, having ‘medical knowledge [that] is second to none’ and ‘an excellent manner with clients’ [Chambers & Partners 2019; Legal 500, 2019].
We act for both claimants and defendants, and pride ourselves on our approachability and client care, which is enhanced by a specialist civil clerking team who are ‘commercial, helpful, pragmatic and always help to find a solution’ [Legal 500, 2019].
We offer in-house seminars, typically on a weekday at 5pm. All our speakers are accredited by the Bar Council and The Law Society.
