Hugh specialises in clinical negligence, personal injury and costs.

In clinical negligence Hugh works on behalf of patients, in cases arising from a broad range of medical specialisms, to provide advice and representation from the early stages of a case through to the conclusion of litigation.

His personal injury work involves acting for both Claimants and Defendants in serious and catastrophic personal injury claims. His cases include complex issues and injuries such as disabling orthopaedic injuries, brain Injuries, pain syndromes and fatal accidents.

In cases involving a fatality, Hugh has experience in providing representation at inquests on behalf of families and other interested parties.

Hugh also practices in costs and provides representation at detailed assessment hearings, solicitor/own client assessments, costs budgeting hearings or hearings on points of principle.
