BETHANY WILSON NAMED ‘BARRISTER OF THE YEAR’ 2026

We are delighted to announce that Bethany Wilson was declared ‘Barrister of the Year’ at the Manchester Resolution Awards 2026 Ceremony! ๐Ÿ†

The Resolution awards are “The only values-led awards celebrating excellence across all professions in family justice. Recognising the positive difference Resolution members make to separating couples, their families and fellow professionals.

We are very proud that three members of the Family Department had been nominated for awards at this year’s ceremony, which took place at a Black Tie Evening at the Lowry Hotel on Thursday 5th February. Bethany Wilson and Anna White were shortlisted for ‘Barrister of the Year’ and Senior Family Clerk Camille Scott was shortlisted for ‘Kindness/Wellbeing Champion’.

Resolution was founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers who believed that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues would produce better outcomes for separating families and their children.

Resolutionโ€™s 6,500 national members are family lawyers, mediators and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of divorce, separation and family disputes. Members follow a Code of Practice championing a non-confrontational approach to family law. Resolution encourages solutions that consider the needs of the whole family – and in particular the best interests of children.


Bethany Wilson is a member of the Family Department at 18 St John Street Chambers. She acts on behalf of parents and children in both Private and Public Law proceedings, and represents clients in financial remedy proceedings at FDA, FDR and contested final hearings.
