    The Legal 500 (2015)

Amber has 15 years’ experience in personal injury and insurance litigation, including 6 years’ PQE as a Chartered Legal Executive. Amber was called to the Bar in 2016 and commenced a reduced six month pupillage with Chambers in September 2016. She now takes instructions on the full range of personal injury cases including fast and multi-track trials, Stage 3 hearings, disposal hearings and interlocutory hearings including applications and costs and case management conferences. Amber has also developed a busy paperwork practice, both advisory and drafting. Amber receives instructions from both claimants and defendants and will accept instructions on a Conditional Fee basis where appropriate.

During her practice as a Chartered Legal Executive, Amber worked exclusively in the field of personal injury and insurance litigation for a number of leading firms including BLM and Horwich Farrelly. Most recently at BLM, she supervised a team of specialist lawyers handling fast track and multi-track claims on behalf of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, involving inherently technical legal and indemnity issues. Amber also has experience of claims involving allegations of dishonesty, complex credit hire, employers’ liability, occupiers’ liability, public liability, product liability and claims against the police. She has an excellent working knowledge of all relevant pre-action protocols and Civil Procedure Rules with particular expertise in claims concerning non-compliance with rules/protocols and associated costs arguments.

With a growing travel law practice, Amber has significant experience in civil actions following accidents abroad, holiday illness claims and breach of contract claims against tour operators.  She has a good working knowledge of the Package Travel Regulations as well as the Athens and Montreal Convention.
