Lisa is a family law practitioner, who specialises in private law and financial remedy proceedings.
Lisa joined Chambers in 2020 having successfully completed pupillage under the supervision of Jonathan Grierson.
Financial Remedies
Lisa has a busy and well-established financial remedies practice. She represents parties and intervenors at all stages of proceedings, from First Directions Appointments (FDA) and Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearings through to Final Hearings where required.
Her work frequently involves complex issues such as allegations of non-disclosure, financial and litigation misconduct. Lisa is known for her meticulous preparation and pragmatic approach to resolving financial disputes.
She is available to advise at any stage of proceedings, including at the pre-issue stage, and is happy to do so in conference or in writing.
Children Law
Lisa is regularly instructed in private and public law proceedings, acting on behalf of parents and children (including through their Children’s Guardian). She is frequently instructed in cases involving allegations of domestic abuse and has successfully both secured and challenged findings of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse, as well as coercive and controlling behaviour.
Lisa has particular experience in complex and high-conflict cases, including those involving parental alienation, implacable hostility, and circumstances where there has been a complete breakdown of contact.
In public law proceedings, she acts for parents and children across a full range of hearings, including Case Management Hearings, Issues Resolution Hearings, and Final Hearings. She is also experienced in working alongside intermediaries and advocates where necessary.
In addition to proceedings under the Children Act 1989, Lisa regularly appears in applications under the Family Law Act 1996.
Lisa is a fluent Welsh speaker and is pleased to offer advice and representation through the medium of Welsh.
