VICTORIA ROBERTS APPEARS IN APPLICATION MADE AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC

9th Apr 2020

In Promontoria v Hancock (2020) where Victoria Roberts acted on behalf of a defendant, HHJ Hodge QC (sitting as Judge of the High Court) decided whether a Pre Trial Review and three other applications could be determined in light of the recent practice direction (PD 51Z) issued as a result of the current pandemic.

HHJ Hodge QC held that he could not take any case management step which included determining any applications in the matter until after the current stay expires which is currently 26 June 2020. The trial in the matter was also vacated.

The solicitors were Joanna Connolly Solicitors.
