18 ST JOHN STREET WELCOMES NEW TENANT FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL PUPILLAGE

The barristers at 18 St John Street are delighted to announce that Ebuwa Uwubamwen has accepted an invitation to join chambers, following the successful completion of her pupillage.

Ebuwa Uwubamwen will practise in Costs Law. Ebuwa studied Law at the University of Cambridge, Sidney Sussed College and was called to the bar in July, 2008 at Inner Temple.

She has over a decade of experience in Costs Litigation as an advocate appearing before the Senior Courts Costs Office on complex and high value matters, and has particular expertise in Costs arising from Clinical Negligence matters.

She has worked in-house with solicitors, in all aspects of Costs; as an advocate in Detailed Assessments and CCMCs, as well as drafting Bills of Costs, Cost Budgets, Points of Dispute and Replies to Points of Dispute and negotiation and is a visiting Lecturer at the University of Law.

As for personal interests she enjoys dancing and commented “I have been known to dabble in (very low level) Salsa and Argentine Tango classes, after watching too much Strictly, but haven’t been back since Covid hit(!)”
