We’re now in the final week of our charity Fitness Fundraiser (and this is our final reveal)!

Our members and staff have been striving to achieve 5K of exercise, 5 days a week for the past 3 weeks. So now that we’re in our fourth week – we can say we’ve made it to the final hurdle.

Some of us have been doing an equivalent in strength workouts, tennis or writing. And this week is no different.

This hard work is, of course, so that we can raise as much money as we can for our chosen charities. We have already announced 3 of our 4 charities.

And now it is time for our 4th (and final) charity reveal. This charity has been chosen by the civil team. (Since this team have experienced and deeply admire the incredible work that this charity do).

So… we’re delighted to announce that our fourth charity will be Headway.

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. They provide vital support and information services, including… A free telephone helpline. An award-winning website. A range of (also award-winning) booklets and publications. An emergency fund to assist people struggling financially in the aftermath of a brain injury. Brain injury identity card (helps in a multitude of situations). Acute trauma support to support families of those in the acute stage of care following brain injury. Directory of approved residential homes. Rehabilitation units and respite facilities.

The charity also campaigns for better support and resources to be made available to people affected by brain injury. They consistently work to raise awareness of brain injury and the devastating effects it can have. Furthermore, they provide local support in branches across the UK and the Channel Islands, in a plethora of communities.

So, you can see why they’ve secured a spot in our charity fundraiser, with all the essential work they do.

Now that we’re reaching the end of the challenge, we’re very excited to see the results. And by that we mean both the donation results and all of our personal fitness results!

So keep a lookout for our #fitnessforfundraising summary in the coming weeks. Finding out what we have raised, and being able to give back to our chosen charities, will make all the activities worth it.
